In other news, Master Lock has recently introduced one of the world’s most secure bluetooth padlocks. The company became the first security specialist to unveil Bluetooth padlocks that incorporate keyless entry, shared access and which do not require numerical codes, all of which is substantiated by the latest technology and 100 years of trusted expertise.
The Bluetooth® Smart Padlocks use a simple app on a smartphone or tablet to secure possessions and eliminate security concerns. It is stated that the new Padlocks provide peace of mind for industry, transportation and distribution centres as well as construction by eliminating the hassle of lost keys or forgotten combinations.
For authorized personnel, time-limited access is given to remote sites that need occasional intervention, such as storage rooms, technical areas, locker rooms or multi-user equipment with the Master Lock® Vault eLocks app, that promises military-grade authentication and encryption.
Should anyone try to tamper with the lock, or the smartphone battery is running low then the app still provides security cover. A directional keypad is available should smart technology be unavailable or stored away in a locker.
Rebecca Smith, Vice President, marketing for Master Lock recently commented: “Our Bluetooth Smart Padlocks offer greater speed, ease of use and control to deliver a new level of security, access, and freedom in portable padlocks.
By turning your smartphone into a key, this product provides a cutting edge combination of security and convenience.”
“Master Lock strives to develop fresh, innovative products that provide consumers with exceptional security. The Bluetooth Smart Padlocks pair our brand’s safety and security expertise with new technology to deliver a totally new experience in a portable security product.”
IronmongeryDirect has stated that it has doubled the number of pvc-u products in its range. As a leading supplier of ironmongery products, the company offers trade professionals a vast choice of quality products.
The decision to expand the range came after a considerable rise in demand for new and replacement window and door projects that used pvc-u. Over 400 new products have been added to the range, bringing the total number to over 1,000, providing customers with greater choice.
The range features items from 16 of the industry’s leading brands including Yale, Hoppe, Winkhaus, Fullex, Trojan, Mila and Greenwood. The range boasts superior quality products including door handles such as the Hoppe Tokyo PAS 24 Multipoint Handle, Fab and Fix Connoisseur Inline Handles as well as a number of locks and letter plates.
The new range is accessible via IronmongeryDirect’s newly launched pvc-u brochure and website. Here tradespeople can access clear and concise product information quickly and easily to ensure they select the right product for each project.
Jamie Johnson, product manager at IronmongeryDirect, said: “We are delighted to announce the expansion of our uPVC range. Since the uPVC boom in the 1990’s, we have seen a large increase in demand for these products as more households are replacing their existing hardware on uPVC doors and window frames. We have always provided products for timber doors and windows and so expanding the uPVC range was a natural progression for us.
“We have also created the new section on our website to help customers navigate around our huge range so that they can easily find the uPVC products that they require.
“We were recently awarded ‘Best multi-channel brand’ at the ECMOD Direct Commerce Awards and Winner of Retail Overall at the Customer Voice Awards in recognition of our excellent customer service. We strive to put our customers first, and by regularly reviewing and expanding our ranges, we are able to meet their product needs and requirements.”
